The O'Ringen is promoting "OrientShow". A description and history is provided on the O'RIngen website.

Has anyone tried it? How was it? Can you elaborate on its set-up either indoors or outdoors?

There used to be a Russian Orient-Show web page at: www.orient-show.ru But, I can't seem to connect to the page anymore.

Alternativet had a short report from the first Swedish Orient-Show event back in April 2004. The report is only in Swedish at: http://www.alternativet.nu/alternativet.asp?id=289... At the Swedish event the map was at 1:500 with 1 meter contours. The winning time was about 1 minute.

Not quite the same as Orient-Show, but the Norwegian national team did some mini-orienteering at a training camp a couple of years ago. You can see the map and course (1:1000 scale with 1 meter contours) at:
