Yeah, that's the long-term solution. Meanwhile, many of us keep arriving at what used to be the "warm-up" time only to discover it is now the "start" time. The previous standard had been in place for about three years; the change is all in the last two weeks. We (or the new instructor) will adapt. In the meantime, things get funny.

Our "Y" has a very high rate of instructor turnover (possibly due to low pay, little prospect for advancement, and Olean being a questionable place for young folks to live). So, when an instructor leaves and a new one takes over the class, there is an adjustment period. And yes, I will be there five minutes earlier on Wednesday...
