B,C,B,B,A,Z,B,A,Z,C and the timed controls were B,E

I got 3,9, 10 and both timed controls wrong.

Hahahaha.... I did even worse than I thought!

2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 10 were wrong.

1, 3, 8, and the two timed controls were right.

Guess I shouldn't give up my day job!

I guess I shouldn't either. Just looked at the official results and - Whoa! - those were some hefty penalties for my screwing up BOTH timed controls. And they were optional!! I should have lodged a protest! :-)

At least other people had the same wrong answers as I did. Some of the things were so tricky - for example, 6. I never would have thought to check that the controls were hanging around the correct pole. I think this is something you need to do several times before you can start to understand all the possibilities...

Yes, it's very precise and nuanced. I really thought I had 10 right, but no! As for 6, I got that right but never realized it was the wrong pole. I think I might have felt it was more than 1 meter from where I thought the circle center was. :-)

I think I had trouble with the timed controls because I couldn't get my head around what my viewing perspective was. That tower just always seemed to be in the wrong place! Next time I run at Ridley, I'm going to be stopping and staring at these things trying to remember where the controls were and figure out what I did wrong or right.

Karl plans to post pictures of each control with an explanation of how you were supposed to figure out the right one.

The photos and explanations were really helpful. Now there needs to be another one so I can try again!

Agreed! Sprints followed by trail o would be fun for me...though clearly that would upset some ap'ers!
