Saw that in the local paper and was on last night's news. Was wondering if either of you might be involved. Looks like a great advance.

Not just a list of nouns, but verbs too. Who'd have thought it?

I guess we'd always presumed that would be the case. And we have examples of these kind of things occurring for single genes. But the sheer scale of this project and the fine scale of the mapping certainly is a large leap forward. Starting Med School just as the human genome project was completed was really great timing. It's an exciting moment to be in biology.

Now if I could only get a better job myself :) ...

Indeed, they made a fabulous map, but it needs someone to figure out how to navigate with it.

like so many fundamentals, once reveled its simple and logicel - almost obvious.
