I just added a first how-to video to help new 4mila users. This one shows you how to create a course from SI-card data, this is often used for very simple training events, where you do not want to export/import data from OCAD, Condes or PurplePen.

Just make sure the card you use has the correct controls on it :-)

Well done, thank you. I really like the user interface and ease of use of what I have seen so far - especially compared to existing event management software. Hope you will release the final version of 4mila soon.

Is there any support for other operating systems than MS Windows planned?

Thank you for your feedback! Glad you like the 4mila user interface. If you have any suggestions, please let us know.

Support for Mac OS X is planned, since the underlying framework supports multiple operating systems. But we are working hard to improve the beta version first. In the next few weeks, we will release another beta (1.0.1) with about 40 new or improved features.

You will find the latest news on our public Facebook page or Google Plus page. Downloads are as always on 4mila.com.

I did start 4mila server and client again today - but unfortunately I cannot login anymore using my 4mila account. What can I do? Is this a known issue?

4mila:
The 4mila account is only required for initial registration. You cannot login with your account into your local installation.

To login into a local 4mila installation, you need a local user. If you did not change the standard users/passwords, there are four users created with the standard setup:

admin
reg
speaker
ecard

There are certain restrictions on the users, e.g. a "speaker" user can only read data but not change anything. An "ecard" user can only download e-cards but not change the event. The "admin" user has full access of the application. If you did not change the passwords, they are initially the same as the usernames. So please try with admin/admin to login into your local 4mila installation.

As some other users reported this problem, we have improved the error message with beta 1.0.1. Beta 1.0.1 will be available on 4mila.com hopefully before christmas :-)

Thanks for the 4mila Mac Installer, worked like a breeze. The only thing to mention is that after 4mila server startup, you may have to wait a few seconds before starting the 4mila client. Otherwise the client will show up a "Server not found" message.

I did already install a previous 4mila version on my Windows notebook, now I am happy to use 4mila including SportIdent download on my MacBook :-)
