Why are you doing your 5k time trial after 14k at a solid pace earlier in the day and a hard session the day before?
Partly to compare like with like - it's what I did last time too (and I'm more interested in my relative performance over time than my absolute performance - even under optimal conditions I'm not going to get picked for anything on the basis of my 5k time). Having said that, a weakness I've had for some time is performing well on the second day of two (e.g. relays) or the second race of a day (e.g. qualifying/final competitions) and it's something I want to get better at.
