..and hopefully gets your friends interest in orienteering!

Nice video, Rebecca. I like how you highlighted orienteering the map to north. Sucked that we couldn't make it down that weekend... looks like it was a fun event!
Thoroughly enjoyed it, like all of your videos. Especially like your music choices for this one.
@Ali- Thanks! Hopefully it can turn into a 2-day to lure more Canadians. :)
@Ross'- Thanks! I feel like this is my best so far. And the music didn't hurt- you can thank Ratatat for that. Music aside, I'm happy with my mix of teachable moments vs. aesthetic experience. That's my ultimate goal-- to clue people in to the experience of orienteering and teach a few things along the way if I can.
Nice video. I'll be curious about your retention - anecdotally, taking people way off trail makes them want to do it more than sending them out on white, among my peers anyway. Looks like a great course too!
Sweet. Although I miss the flamethrower terrain. And what's with the compass dangling around the neck? Ugghhhhhh ;)
RE: Flamethrower terrain...I'm always confused to see pictures of orienteers in short sleeves. I still see scars from the spring meets where I tried that.
I've probably run at least 90% of my races in short sleeves. And that's 90% of a big number.
Flamethrower terrain
It's all relative. You say "flamethrower", we say, "OMG runnable woods!"
@Wonderful- I think these ladies will be back! My hunch told me that they'd be into something really wild (off-trail).
@Dobbs- hey! I was being nice and lent BOTH my thumb compasses to my newbies and I used their dangly compass instead. >;)
