Anyone know if there is any orienteering happening in/near Berlin for the month of July?

WMOC takes place next week in the Harz, a bit more than 250km away. You probably already knew that I guess :)

Other than there aren't that many things going on in Germany in July. I don't know about any (in)formal training though. See full calendar here.

5 years ago I was in Berlin for a school trip approximately at that period of the year and couldn't imagine not orienteering for a week, so I contacted the club TOLF Berlin. I keep an extraordinary memory of it - travelling several evenings in the week to the very eastern part of the city and training with them. The website doesn't seem to have a contact form, but you could try to write to Bernd Wollenberg, elch@tolf.de (hope the e-mail is still valid). This was the very active trainer who organized everything for me. Note however that I suspect most people are likely to be on holidays, at WMOC, at WOC or O-Ringen... But in the worst case, there are always maps :)

Bernd is not longer a member of TOLF but maybe the adress is still valid. You can find a complete list of orienteering clubs in Berlin here:

As there are no competitions in July you can always grab a map from http://omaps.worldofo.com/index.php?st=berlin&a=s&... and head out for a nice training.
