yeah, I've never been able to identify any of the mapped rocks there with any certainty. Did you see the one with the pink streamer on? (it was a lump of rock with a cairn built on top). Ill have to look at my GPS later, probably to see that I ran past it about 6 times!

Didn't notice any streamer, but that one's the 'boulder'. The boulder broken into two pieces, NE of there, is the 'boulder cluster' which the control was on.

I noticed the rock with cairn and pink streamer (& no control) I found boulder with control shortly after - but wasn't quite sure which rock on map represented cairn.

I had trouble there too. So did Simon. From the direction we came from there was no way to find that control with any certainty. I saw the cairn and tape rock too, but felt too early and too low. I still lost about 2min on that rock.

Yeah, when i first saw the cairn and tape i thought it was too low and early so didn't really give it second thought till I felt I had looked at every bit of rock in the area and became convinced the tape must be it. ah well, good reminder on how small SA rocks can be!
