You seem to be on-track to doing well yourself. Your still getting in the long runs too. If I was doing as much, my pace would be slower. Are you doing the EX2 race to Fountainhead in June? Peggy and I plan to. I haven't made plans for next Greenway Race. The Greenway Race is in the back of my mind but there is a lot to happen on multiple levels between now and then that could affect me running it again.

I am getting in better shape but I'm not fast again yet. It's mostly been about staying healthy for a long time. For so long, everytime I'd try to come back I'd either get injured, sick, or have some time constraints. I've been fortunate lately. I did get flu shots the last 2 years and they have been effective. I never used to do that, even when Max first joined us. The cartilage issues have abated for now but I get warning signs often enough--I feel like I've gotten through a round of natural aging and bone settling but I have many more joints to go through. The muscle and tendon issues eased-up with more attention to stretching. What I need to get faster is to continue to lose weight gradually and work some speed training into things. I've been reluctant to return to speed training as that is rougher on the joints. There are however, some ways to minimize the impact.

hey - a regular 730 pace and you're not even pushing it? any way you look at it that's doing pretty good. ive found that use of a "foam roller" is great for aches and pain. It really helped my achilles after the big race.

I have a foam roller and it's great. Nadim is welcome to use it anytime he wants. :-)
