I would skip if I could but I can't just tell my coach "hey I don't feel like running today because my ankle hurts" he knows that I'm hurting and he may not want me to run if it's bad ,but if I can push through it he'll probably make me run at least one of my races.. and if I don't run someone will have to take my place.. i'm doing 2 relays

Than someone needs to talk to your coach: is he producing athletes or future patients for local sports doctors?
Recovery is very important part of the training process, the sooner you realize it, the healthier you will be as an athlete throughout your life. It has nothing to do with being lazy or slacking, must listen to your body all the time.
The better athlete you are, the smarter you must become in that respect.

This coach really needs a talking to. I bet you he would have a stronger team if he incorporated recovery into his program.
