Well done Mike. I was following your progression on VLM tracker. A new PB is always good.
Thanks Craig, but it wasn't quite a pb :-(
Nice one Mike, sounds like a tough race. if you're giving up marathons, what's next? Iron Man?
Anybody know how Zak got on ?
He had a tough second half and did 2.53 after a sub 79 first half.
Hope you're feeling a bit more human now mate, you were looking a bit zombie-like at the finish! Respect for the punishment you managed to give yourself.
Don't give up on the 'thon. But get some other races into u'r legs like you said. Fancy a crack at some classic fell races?
Well done for finishing it off mike. An enjoyable first half today. Ironman sounds good:-)
Todd - thanks for the chocolate milk. Wasn't really with it at the finish! And well done again on your run.
Paul - no chance of Emma letting me do an Ironman. Like you I think I'm going to focus on some shorter stuff. And maybe go orienteering. I've got a guest appearance in the SYO third team for the British relays.
Well done Mike, it was fun following you round the course - we had to run between spectating points - I might even log it on AP ;-)
You were looking good in the last picture I got of you, but it obviously got tougher at the end.

Thanks for all the support - it was really appreciated. Looks like that picture was taken as I came out of the tunnel at 15. Felt great then - but you're right it did get a lot tougher!
well smashing all your pbs in one spring season would have just been too greedy....
Great racing Mike, don't retire just yet!
Nice work Mike, you ran really well! I was following your pretty graph updates live every 5km
good effort mate, no retiring before us old boys!!
Great period of racing mate, can't be bad consolidating ur marathon times with lower mileage and less long runs.
Pleased for u!
Yay well done Mike, great race! And you definitely deserve a good rest now :D
