Ah ha! I knew there was a typo, but was looking at the first time I wrote head and not the second, which my brain read as hands at least four times.
It is disturbing how long I've taken to figure that out. Sssh. Going to leave the typo for posterity.
Two heads and one feet? What is going on in that lab of yours?
I read, "my head was", so I was wondering why going gloveless made your heads cold.
The old saying: if your hands are cold, put on a hat.
Yes, I did convince myself it was logical (except the bit about washing all the gloves at once).
Are there any parts of the US that multiple-head jokes get told about? In Australia it's Tasmania; in Canada I'm led to believe it's Newfoundland.
All your heads are belong to us.
I don't know that I've ever heard a multiple-head joke in the US, but I wouldn't be surprised to hear one about New Jersey. Or New Haven, actually.
West Virginia is the equivalent of Tasmania or Newfoundland, but I don't think the inbreeding jokes have got quite as far as allusions to polycephaly.
North Adams, MA was the inbreeding joke capital for us growing up, but that's probably a MA thing. I would have picked NJ for toxic-waste related polycephaly, which just seems much more likely than inbreeding related polycephaly.
