In the early years of AFL measures against racial vilification I seem to recall there was at least one instance of a player calling another (non-white) player a "green c**t". It also brings to mind the sorry Andrew Symonds-Harbhajan Singh affair when it was apparently considered more acceptable to have used the Punjabi word for "motherf***er" than it would have been to have used the similar-sounding word "monkey".
