I will be putting on some informal training at Paugusset this Sunday. Streamers will be out by 9.30, you may start earlier if you wish. Sign up below or e mail me - it's not binding but it will give me an idea of maps!

More details to follow on courses, once I've dug them out of my other computer.

IT will be on Saturday, as Chenritzo is the only one to express a preference. Tapes will stay out so if you would prefer Sunday, I can send you maps to print.

Poor me, I guess I'd better help with the gender balance.

Thanks to all who came last Sunday - I have a ghetto Suunto compass someone left behind.

Christian, (Christian? Are you there?) would the following weekend suit you in Westmoreland?
Feb 1, 2012 12:24 AM #
Becks:
I think that ghetto compass is likely the WCOC one Anna was using.

Okay! There is a corridor exercise, a control pick, and a simplification exercises. The latter two can be done with trails for those who are relative beginners, and without trails for the experts. The corridor has no controls so can be done as an early warm up if you want to start before 9.30.

Can anyone suggest a good place for a late lunch afterwards?

1) King's Breakfast and Lunch (they close at 3pm... is that too early for us?)

2) Peruvian? Not sure if it's vegetarian friendly. Didn't see a menu online.

Never been to either place.

Rick & Susie - if you have any maps from old meets with courses on, could you bring 5 or 6? Just for people to have back ups with trails on n case they go astray. Thanks!

ndobbs - looks like there might be a couple of other cadets coming along now (we'll see what they decide), so I'll just plan on driving up on my own so they all have a ride if they come. Thanks for the offer though!

Not a problem, my car was nice and warm very soon after leaving, and my Starbucks hot choccie was even warmer. Nice work at trying the difficult map!

Thanks again, Becky! We made it out of the woods okay, tho' our O skills needed a bit of dusting off. Good practice!
