Surprisingly this is not a record - Mardie had 44.5 at 9am on 8 February 1994. Last update was 9.30 with Mardie and Onslow already past 45.
49.2 at Onslow was the highest today. Still possibilities tomorrow (and beyond).
Learmonth got to 48.9 today, but my tip to surpass 50 is (and always will be) Marble Bar.
Marble Bar gets slightly lower extremes than the near-coastal sites because of its elevation (180m, which equates to about 1.8 degrees in a dry air mass), although its averages are much higher because of the lack of a seabreeze influence.
