Discussion: Help orienteering in Sweden

What is this about? A bit of promotion.

Helena Jansson has been nominated to Swedens largest sports award and if she wins, it would be a great opportunity for orienteering to be promoted in the national media channels and also be more attractive to sponsors.

Hopefully it would also help us get closer to orienteering as live broadcasts on TV. But why are we posting about it here? The award is a peoples choise award and you can help by voting (we have checked and voting from other countries is ok, so not only swedes).

As did I. My wife Sari (who speaks Swedish) tells me some T-shirts may be awarded, and the final blank is for your shirt size.

Ha, as I read that last comment, my first thought was "We're voting for Helena Jansson, and all she gets is a lousy t-shirt!??!"

I might have gotten a little carried away. I voted five thousand, three hundred, and forty-seven times. I think her chances are looking up. ; )
