Bruce:
Interesting news for anyone who has run Melbourne's 3.85km tan track.

Craig Mottram yesterday broke the track record in 10:08. Sonia O'Sullivan ran 12:50 and Hanny Allston in 13:03 ahead of all of the Richmond AFL club. Cam Howat was Richmond's fastest in 13:08.

Fortunately my pride is still in tact, after running 12:45 last month and 10:15 in a relay team (with 6 others).

13.03 is equal to my best time of the 21st century (although well off my all-time best).
