Tracking only races (not course setting or control pickup or training or mapping or whatever), it looks like I've done this nine times, most recently in 2004. The high water mark was set in 2002, with just over 159 hours. That's what three 24-hour Rogaines and one 8-hour will do. Second place was 1990, with just under 151 hours, including a 24, a 12, two 6-hours and a 4. But there has been at least one year when I was over 100 hours without any events over 4 hours. This year I'm at a pitiful 33 and change, but at least it's better than 2009, when I was under 25 hours, my lowest total since 1986 (when I was very busy and ran only six courses, all between April and June).

Yeah, this year has been a disappointment compared to some of my goals, but given that I was still recovering from the left tibia fracture from 2010 and that I stress fractured my right tibia, my disappointment is somewhat mitigated.
