Rosie is good like that.

Has she had a chance to touch snow for the first time?

She didn't like the look of it much, was sitting under the coffee table growling, so I tried Clem instead. I now have a nice big three claw scratch down my chest! So I guess we won't be trying more snow anytime soon :)

I was house-sitting and looking after a California cat the first time she tried snow. It provoked about 30 seconds of WTF and about two days lying on the radiator.

Ha ha! Cats are just about the best things alive on the planet, I have decided!

Talking of cats in snow - have you seen this?

Becks:
You see, I don't really get Simon's Cat. There are so many real cats on the internet that are funnier and way cuter, that I don't really get it. Hmm.

I will begrudgingly admit that the Devil Cats are adorable in their own special Satanic way.

Everyone succumbs to their charms eventually.

It is a bit weird to hear about Clem causing bodily harm - I almost consider that Rosie's exclusive domain. I guess I can imagine that snow is just way too different for that Arizona kitty to handle.

She certainly didn't intend to. She just got really scared and squirmy with her claws out. It definitely wasn't a Rosie style swipe attack! Next time I will just casually leave the door to the balcony open. I don't think Clem likes being up "high" to start with!

I'm sure Rosie loves you too Boris...ahem. Wait till you see them sitting in their boxes!

Pictures of kitties in boxes, pls.

The problem with black cats is they don't photograph well. I have tried many times. I will persevere.

No boxes, but here's a couple for starters.

If that's not the face of pure evil, I don't know what is.

Clem is confused by the notion box, but almost makes it:

And Boris, the cat in the papasan chair is Clem. Rosie still doesn't go anywhere near it. I think she can smell Ross :)

Those look like my cats, but mine are definitely not evil.

Awesome. Especially like "Clem is confused by the notion box".

Rosstopher:
Hey now, I have never been formally introduced to either of the DevilCats tm and I'm sure that Rosie and Clem would both love me and want to cuddle in any chair that was pre-Ross scented.

Cristina:
Oh no, you've never met them? Travesty!

Becks, what is the Christmas-time plan? Are you guys staying around? Will the kitties need babysitting?
Nov 2, 2011 10:45 AM #
Samantha:
Oh, we can babysit! Oh wait, maybe you meant that you wanted to spend time with your own cats...

We will be in Framingham for a couple of days around actual Christmas but nothing more than that. They're quite familiar with the Sudbury house aren't they? They could maybe come stay for a couple of days? If not you are very welcome to come and visit and stay for a bit if you like.

We haven't tried getting them in the kittie carriers yet so that will be some extra fun :)

Cristina:
They've only spent one night in Sudbury, and they spent it all in my room so as not to create conflict with the two kitties who already live there. They are bigger than Rosie and Clem but my parents didn't want to risk Rosie having her way with them.

We'd love to see them (and you) in December, we should work something out that isn't too stressful for you or the kitties! I assume there'll be some movement for us between Albany and Boston, so maybe a visit is in order.
Nov 2, 2011 3:19 PM #
Becks:
Alright, so maybe a visit is best then. Aside from the three days around Christmas itself, we have no plans, so you can likely drop in whenever fits best for you. We have a spare room (where the cats like to sleep anyway) so you can stay or fly by, whichever works best.
