Discussion: Holy $4!7 !!

After all this time! Faces Disco was the hot place to go when I was in high school (or so you might imagine from the ads on the radio, much too far away for a rural kid like me to get to, even if I didn't hate disco music), but by the time I got to college, the place was a burned out hulk. I could never figure out why what appeared to be a prime piece of real estate, located at the end of the subway line (once it was extended a few years later) as well as at the end of the high-speed road, remained abandoned for 30+ years. And finally the machinery moves in. Progress may be slow, but it gets here eventually...

Actually, I guess it was open longer than I remembered -- until the late 1980s or early 1990s.
