Backstreet Boy:
There's a student from California at a Connecticut boarding school who is seeking to make a local orienteering map and start a club in his school. He came to a local event this summer. I said I'd try to get him in touch with somebody out there.

He's wanting to get started by producing a map of a local area. The school is in Simsbury, CT. He's serious about this - he wants to do it for his PE credit, so he's willing to invest a lot of time into it. Anyone out there to help get him started?

Rather than post his contact info. here, contact me and I will direct him to you. Thanks!

Regards,
Rex

George (walk) may still have no power at home as I do, but when he's back I imagine he might be able to help out here.

There's a map of Stratton Brook SP in Simsbury, and I think George is still working on a map of Penwood SP on the east side of town as well. And there's always the infamous laurels of Ratlum Mountain in Canton which is the next town over.

Already contacted Rex. Seeif he's interested, maybe do the school to start. Lots of neat places around to run in, or even map.

Which school - Ethel Walker, Masters or Westminster? (or another I'm not thinking of?) Be neat to have another sprint venue around...

Westminster - just catching up on the email now, thanks for your responses! Rex

I assumed Westminster, which would be a fine sprint. Ethel has a large woods behind for which I have contours and a start to a map. Masters is probably too restricted.

Westminster would be an excellent sprint venue
