Open 9

Results says "Clubless" - no decision yet? Next weekend is the relay champs - better find a club before then...

In that case, nice result! It's a shame you made a big mistake on that control - otherwise a great race it looks like.

Actually I've decided to join GMOK. Thanks for the intro there bubo. ;) Lots of younger people in the club, and a few other internationals as well.

I haven't been officially registered yet which is why it says 'clubless'.

Good to hear you´re settling in!

Hope studies will go well too. I guess today may be your first day at school so you may not know anything about what´s awaiting yet...

Yes, today was the registration day. It was nice to meet my other classmates, there are only a few of us who are foreign.

They keep saying how we are going to be super busy, but hopefully I can keep training hard around classes.

re: 'super busy'

When I did my PhD research in Sweden I was known as the work-aholic yet I never had more time to train than during those summers in Sweden. Busy is a relative word and I don't think Swedes know the North American academic scene workload very well. Its all about time management.

Good luck with your studies and training. Enjoy. You will have a great time.

Oh and please say hello to Johan Fries for me and ask him to say hello to his parents and uncle for me. His former club was Umea OK (my Swedish club).

North American work load or not - most (or at least too many) Swedish students I encounter don´t know much about studying or time management at all.

So I guess you may be right to a certain degree - being an exchange student you can´t really afford to fail. Being a Swedish student there are lots of other alternatives if you don´t "feel like studying"...

GMOK is a great club and you will have some good runners there to look up to. However, SAIK is more fun although not as fun as it was a decade ago or so. Super busy - have no clue what that means. Just be smart and you can train as much as you want.

Sudden> You been away to long now, GMOK is the shit these days. SAIK would need a few more hardcore guys like at the moment!
Robbie>> Welcome to GMOK, have not have the oppurtunity to welcome you in person yet. But you have made a great choice! Hopefully I can drag myself to more trainings and perhaps tell you some very old stories about sudden...
