Sandy:
There is now a web site, for the Water Gap weekend, May 29-30.

To guarantee pre-printed maps we're asking people to pre-register here. I won't be printing too many extra maps, so please let me know you're coming by May 22.

If you want space in one of the tents at PEEC, you must pre-register or contact me.

All the courses will be on the Stuckey Pond map. If you want to make a 3-day weekend out of it and do some training on the Spackman Creek map on Saturday let me know and I can meet you somewhere Saturday morning with maps. If there's enough interest I can also reserve the tents for Saturday night.

Tentative course lengths (final lengths should be available by the end of the week):
Blue 11.58
Red 8.21
Green 5.55
Brown 3.73

Sprint1 2.22
Sprint2 2.19

Blue, Red and Green will be overprinted courses on offset printed maps at 1:15000. Brown will be laserjet copies printed at 1:10000. If you plan to run Green and would prefer a laserjet copy at 1:10000 let me know and I'll see what I can do. Sprints will be laserjet copies printed at 1:5000. (Same printer as used for the West Point sprint maps.)

Just a reminder to sign up by this Sunday so Sandy knows how many maps to print. See the first message in this thread for the links.

Hoping to see our WOC team members from the East Coast (Erin, Pavlina, Samantha, and Boris)!

Rumor has it the sprints on Monday will be harder than the average sprint. Good technical courses, lots of controls, but mostly in the forest, not much open land or pavement.

Should be a fun Sunday/Monday weekend.

The Attackpoint event listing shows a few fast people - but none of those WOC team members. The DVOA registrant list is a little better showing Pavlina indeed is coming. What about Erin, Samantha & Boris

Boris has been banned from Attackpoint until he gets the Sprint Standings updated.

I'm glad to see Leif is signed up to run 3 courses each day. Maybe the rest of us will have a chance at beating him after he is worn out. Sandy told me you *have* to run all the races you sign up for, and its not possible to change the list - some kind of computer or homeland security thing.

In order to insure that various competitors are properly trained, I have instructed my agents to enter several of them on as many as *five* courses, and they won't find out they have been favorably "looked after" until the day of. However, I can reveal that at least one of them is also known as "Big Eddie", and I would advise stoking up on lots of gumbo the night before, because it's going to be a loooooong weekend.

Who dat' talkin' 'bout eatin' dat' gumbo?
Who dat', who dat'?

Say, thats not a bad idea. Hmmm. I will never forget that night at the hostel in Sweden when they served crawdad pasta. Man-O-man that was good eats. I'm pretty sure I had my best race the next day.

Map printing will commence this evening so if you're thinking about coming, sign up or let me know. I can print more later in the week if necessary but the quality for the sprints and the 1:10000 maps won't be as good. I'll also have blank maps at the event, so you can always just show up and draw your own course...

I'll agree with John, an awesome weekend put together by Sandy. (And John was pretty quick in the sprints!) Routes/comments for the Red course Sunday and the 2 sprints today.
