Hi Blair. Since when have you had a "weekly rest day". Last time I heard (which is I think before you were injured) you had run 500-odd days in a row without a break! Or is that why you now need a weekly day off?
Hope you're feeling better by now :-)

Those days finished a while ago, on medical advice after I had compartment surgery in 2002 (the streak of continuous days ended up running from June 1990 to December 1996). I was doing some swimming on the non-running days but gave that away after breaking my elbow - will have another go at this soon now that the pins have been taken out. I'm not exactly the world's most efficient swimmer (I reckon Hanny would be able to cover 2 1/2 laps in the time it takes me to do one), but seem to get more out of it than I do from riding. (I refuse to post my commuter rides on AP because they're too slow to be counted as serious training).
