The two sprints at Tilles were fun and challenging - that is, most of us managed to lose time even in an "easy" park.

Thanks.

Good, I'm glad! I was hoping the easiness of the rest of the park would make you have to change pace in the playground area. Is that where you think people were losing time?

Are the courses online somewhere? I'd like to see. I think I did some mapping at Tilles in the 80s.

I lost time early. On long sprint, easy short #1 allowed no time to plan or get use to map so I bobbled #2 and #3 a bit before settling in - good job! The long run to easy #5 allowed me to plan ahead for 6, 7, 8 in playground - I did & it worked!

On short, to #1 I chose left of building (ugly), not reading map carefully enough to see 'between buildings' gap.

I also lost time punching - rarely did I have punch card ready entering a control.

After races, we discussed 2-3 nice route choice options and nearly everyone made errors - parks/maps are NEVER too easy for Sprints.
