at first I was like, weird, I've never seen that part of the CT river before. And then I realized you weren't in Sunderland anymore.

WC relay was in Muckross, just south of there, not the best map. Torc is a reasonable hill to run up. And if you get really bored, you could go back SE along the N22 to THE 1998 WC area - http://omaps.worldofo.com/index.php?st=Crohane

Does the castle show up in the satellite photo?

@J-J-- yes. Oddly shaped from the overhead view (long and skinny).

Neil -- how come the aerial photos in Ireland are just fine in some places and worthless in others? Such as where I ran today, the southern part is fine, downtown Killarney is worthless. What gives?

Yeah, that's the castle. Went back with Gail and got the tour. Pretty cool. Also stopped at the combination golf course and steeplechase course and chatted up a guy there. But the woods right around here are thick and flat and dreadful for O'. Up in the hills must be another matter.

Ask google - I don't know, they have been like that for years. Try

And zoom to 1:25,000 and check the wind report box on the right - that's the closest I can find to the standard 1:50,000 OS maps...
