Discussion: WCOC Picnic at Ratlum - Relay?

If there is any interest, I'll set up a Speedy Goat-style sprint relay, mass start at 2pm, teams of 2 alternating legs, 2 courses each. Sign up in advance as a team, or as an individual and I can pair teams up.

I like relays! (Who'd have thought it ;) ) I think I will need a partner though.

I'm hoping to make it, would certainly be up for a relay. Though, not counting the snowgaine, I haven't orienteered since the RHINO... :-(

I might appear at Gay City tomorrow, but only because its relatively close to work and I can try to sneak out for a while.

The relay is on. There will be four legs, none longer than 2K. Teams of two alternating legs. Don't want to run 2 legs? You can run on a team of 3 or 4. Mass start at 2 pm, picnic to follow. Please get here early enough to register and warm up, say no later than 1:30. Send in your team info (names, epunch numbers) ahead of time and make it easier for the organizer. Or just send in your own info and get paired up in the random(?) team pairing.

Charlie - my SI is 503553 - though its currently among the missing so I may need to beg/borrow. Last time I used it was at the RHINO - you didn't happen to come across a black nylon bag with a variety of compasses, whistle & SI stick back in December?

Hope to be there if work doesn't intervene - the boys will probably come along in which case our relay team will consist of some combination of me, and me shadowing each of them...

Charlie, my SI # is one of the few SI #s that is being #censored by the "authorities", dammit. But you can guess what it is easily enough, if you think about it a second. After all, you're an actuary!

Yo, Becky: although I an definitely willing to be on your team, I need to point out that I've been really sick for the past few days, and I don't know what condition I'll be in by the weekend. So if there's somebody else in better shape available, I'll gladly step aside.

It's back at your house with a full tank of petrol now, and I can't really afford to put any more in it. Moving has cost a lot of money! Plus Kat gets back on Saturday doesn't she?

I can gladly give you a lift if it doesn't work out with the Saegers (or someone else), Clem, though the rendezvous logistics would be a little more challenging.
