More seriously, the best thing for my low back when it has its episodic catastrophic flare-up is Panadol Osteo (over the counter medication, cheap as) and for temporary relief heat packs and very hot shower / bath etc. Time, time, time is the best healer... you aint got so much of that unfortunately. Please heal, please - I'm so looking forward to seeing you race well!

Stay on the ibuprofen and definitely add the panadol osteo. It kind of takes a while to start kicking in, but if you keep taking it, it really helps.

What's in panadol osteo that's different to normal panadol etc?

Nothing. It's just a bigger dose - 665mg, compared to 500mg in the regular kind.

I've looked it up - just some slow release paracetamol. Think I've got those sort of options covered. Might have a bash with tramadol this evening (in case it puts me to sleep) but the paracetamol hasn't really helped so far...

Are we allowed to have pain-killing injections 'in-competition'? Duncan?

If I land the same way again over the weekend I'm gonna be in a world of hurt... hoping to get out for a jod either this evening or tomorrow to see if running is feasible at the moment.

Wait till tomorrow before running, the jolting of running impact is likely not to be a good thing. Slow acting Panadol Osteo works a treat in rogaines and AR events to stop my back destroying the outing too.
