There is a little over 2 weeks left to sign up for the 2011 Junior Training camp. At this point the boys dorm is half filled, so hurry guys if you want to attend this training camp. The girls dorm on the other hand is nearly empty so come on ladies get signed up for a great training camp. Whether you are a guy or a girl you have until the 15th of March to get registered and until March 20 to pay.

Hope to see you there.

Sorry not to have been following this more closely, but is there a website with complete details?

The training camp is for people who in a couple of years might be going to the JWOC not just those who are wanting to go this year. It is also a chance to get to know other young orienteers and basically have fun as you learn more about the sport. This is a great opportunity.

Never mind my question above; I found the camp page on Attackpoint: http://attackpoint.org/eventdetail.jsp/event_7477

It's also the 2nd "featured news" item on the Orienteering USA site, which links to here (has the same info as above, and links to AP for "latest updates").

Eric, this camp is for any junior that can finish a white course by themselves. We have been doing this camp for at least 10 years now and it has been a complete success. There is serious training and lots of fun as well. Also lots of good food thanks to me and my kitchen crew. Like Peter stated it is a great opportunity for all juniors that want to come. If they don't live within driving distance, I work out a way to pick them up and get them back to an airport, so don't let that stop anyone from coming.
