Discussion: Easing back???

10mile, 7mile, 15mile days in the week before the National XC.
Good training for the marathon....but not exactly easing back now was it.
The year of my best run, I was injured from the previous weekend and so did not run all week, and just decided to give it a go after some treatment on the Friday. Maybe there's something in there somewhere.

I don't disagree with you, but my focus is the marathon again this year. So I felt it more important to get the good marathon training in, rather than giving the National absolutely everything. Maybe next year that will be different, depending on what my training and racing goals are.
