The registration form for the Billygoat is now available.

First-come, first-served for the limited number of free SI stick rentals, so mail in your registration form ASAP.

Deadline to avoid late fees is May 1.

And, yes, we're going old-school with mail-in registration. The cost of online registration was just too high for an event with fewer than 200 people and we did not want to have to pass that cost on to you.

Our artists are working on the t-shirt design. It's gonna be a classic!

Why not have more than 200 people? Having race info in a word-doc is also pretty old-school... :)

Neil, are you a member of our club yet?

Joe, have you given me honorary membership yet?

Thanks for the PDF, but I just updated the Word document, so you'll have to go back to the website and check it out when it gets posted. Change was to the late fee deadline. But, since you all are going to get in your registration way before the deadline, there should be no problem.

Shouldn't you just tweet the updates? ;-)

you can "like" us on facebook too.

Not on FB but I like you just fine.

Reminder: the US team is also running the Speedy Goat Sprint Relay Saturday afternoon, so come and make a weekend of the Billygoat! It's a 2 person sprint relay, time to find your partner!

Entry is the same form as the Billygoat, and if you are coming from a distance, aim to get there in good time for the 2pm mass start!!
Feb 19, 2011 1:42 PM #
AliC:
And... the partner categories for the Speedy Goat are:

Bucks Open Men
Does Open Women
Wethers Open Coed
Junior/Master* Bucks Men
Junior/Master* Does Women
Junior/Master* Wethers Coed

*The Junior/Master category allows any permutation of non-ageclass-21 members. So two juniors (<21), two masters(>34), or a one junior + one master team are all valid combinations.

So find your partner! Although partnering up at later times is also totally possible, up until half hour before race start, we'll have an area for unpartnered folks to meet up close to registration.

I find those categories scary. Particularly 'wethers,' which is a PR disaster if ever I heard one.
Feb 19, 2011 7:52 PM #
ONA:
The registration info will be updated on Monday to show all the categories. Please wait to send in your registration form until the new one is on the website. And, yes, it will be a PDF.

And, I've heard rumors that there will be prizes for the Speedy Goat so select your partners carefully.

Fine, I don't like anyone griping, names of categories changed back to boring! Male, female, and coed shouldn't scare anyone.
Feb 19, 2011 10:48 PM #

:)

I can't make it anyway, so don't mind me. I just thought that equating 'coed' with 'castrated' was a step too far.
Feb 19, 2011 11:19 PM #
AliC:
yeah, so names suggested by someone else, and my vocabulary didn't until a few minutes ago include the term whether. anyone have a brilliant name for the coed category?

Can we advertise for racing partners here, or shall I start a new thread?

AliC - Nothing wrong with wethers, Owen (Billygoat '01 @ Gay City t-shirt) was a fine wether...

Bucks also like to urinate on themselves to impress the ladies, wethers aren't inclined to such habits
Feb 20, 2011 3:35 AM #

@AliC: breeding pair? :)
Feb 20, 2011 6:01 AM #
jjcote:
breeding pair?

I thought of that, too, but it could get members of some potential teams in serious trouble.

The updated registration information is on the website and it has the original categories. No more changes. Wethers unite! So, end the discussion here and just register already!!!!
Feb 21, 2011 1:25 AM #
AliC:
Yeah, just going to add, we don't have the flexibility to change the entry document at this point, just consider the categories men, women and coed, if goat-related names put you off!
