A reminder, the Friday through Sunday events for the NAOC will be USOF ranked. The following clarifications only apply to USOF rankings, and have nothing to do with the NAOC scoring, so please contact me if you have any questions.

If you are running a competitive class which spans 10 years, you will be USOF ranked in the 5 year class which corresponds to your year of birth, or the oldest of the two 5 year classes if you are older than the class span.

If you are 10 and under running M/F-12, you will be USOF ranked as M/F-10.

All M/F20-34 runners will be USOF ranked as M/F-21+, even if you are under 21.

All 17-18 year olds running M/F-19 will be USOF ranked on M/F-18 unless I was notified that you want to be USOF ranked as M-20. The 19 year olds running M/F-19 will be ranked as M-20.

Men 50+ years old running M45-54 will be USOF ranked as M50+ unless I am notified that you want to be USOF ranked as M45+.
This applies to:
Robert Charles Paddock
Jim Eagleton
Phil Bricker
Glen Tryson
Charlie Shahbazian
Tom Strat
Stanislav Rachitskiy
Rick Worner

I think this covers everything. If not, let me know.

Valerie, I know that Mike Sandstrom and Erin Schirm want to be ranked as M-20 for the races that they are entered as M-19. I know that they don't frequent AP though. Do you want me to have them contact you?

John, I did speak to Erin at the Sprint Finals, and have him already marked for M-20 for his non-M20-34 days. I don't see that Michael is registered.

I assume that if we wish to opt out of the USOF rankings (possibly on a race by race basis), that an e-mail to you is sufficient. Is anyone aware of the procedure for opting out of the WRE rankings (other than not punching the GO control :-))?

Randy, that is correct, one may opt out of being USOF ranked by contacting me before starting the race. Email counts if I acknowledge that I got the email. Handing me something in writing is also acceptable to me.

You're right, Mikey doesn't appear to be registered. He told me he was going... I'll have to look into that.

Randy, there is no chance you can get out of the WRE if you start within the correct time window and finish the course with all punches. But, you can always DNF and get a 0 WRE score which does not average with your non-zero scores.
