Yes, Alexei got a job offer in Boston. He can't do it. We try to mount a local meet, but we need a meet director. The Hawes are traveling. I am tied up with the Highlander and Genesis AR. You want to do it? The courses are designed, it just needs somebody at the day of the meet.

That's too bad. I'd love to help if I could, but I'm already overloaded. I take it it is officially cancelled then? Could someone update the AP listing so that people don't get confused?

Alexei is coming to Boston? This means we'll have more coaching staff for NEOC?

Alexei is not moving, yet. He will working there with a new company and find out how it goes before moving the whole family up there. So you have to hold the horses with training camps until the smoke settles.

In the meantime don't forget the two WCOC events that weekend: The Du-O on Saturday at Huntington, and a regular meet at Osbornedale State Park on Sunday. The Du-O is a Team Fundraiser so don't be put off by the unusual fee. It can be done as a team or solo, on bike and foot or all on foot as a score-o. We have donated almost $1000 to the team so far this year from the earlier events, and this will be a fun way to help out.

If the weather looks nice, I might even offer to BBQ free food for the Du-O competitors.

Joe, you need any help putting it on?

Joe:
actually it is a very easy event to put on - 20 controls in the forest. the only help needed would be picking them up. and, If anyone is coming from afar and is planning on going to our event the next day and needs a place to stay after the event let me know.
