If anyone finds airfare deals, please let us know. For those considering doing these events and the US Classic champs/convention in western NY a few days later, current round-trip from Toronto (YYZ) to Whitehorse (YXY) seems to be running about $1000.

A drive from Skagway is quite scenic. Fares to Juneau (subsidized by the U.S. Federal Govt.) are almost never that high. From there it's a ferry to Skagway—you can bring the car you rent in Juneau on the ferry, and take it to Canada.

Distance from Skagway to Whitehorse is 111 miles/177 km. Info on the ferry is here: http://www.dot.state.ak.us/amhs/index.shtml
Remember your passport.
Europeans can fly direct from Frankfurt on Condor; or from Zurich on Edelweiss Air. Air Canada and Air North (Yukon's airline) fly from Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton.

Distance from Winnipeg to Whitehorse is ~2100 miles.....gulp.
Flights right now are about $900 from the heart of NA.
As low as $108 for a Greyhound ticket. Over 3 days on the bus though!
