You could bring Rob to the WCOC winter meeting at the DeWitt's on Sunday afternoon, January 16. Cell phone O' on a map right from their house, plus lots to eat and drink. It was a lot of fun last year.

Prob not orienteering much over winter, but will be super keen to train post ski-WOC, but maybe that's too far ahead to coordinate! Yay for Rob visit too! =)

When is Ski WOC? I'm thinking whole season planning here, so I'm sure it's not too far ahead. It'd be good to know when you CSU guys are planning on organising things in the spring too. I'll keep you informed, so on the off chance you're not playing in the snow you can come and show us how it's done :)

Ski WOC is covers last two weekends in March, 19th-28th. For CSU, we're going to host a C-meet in Rocky Woods on March 26th, maybe some training could be involved around that? No training-weekends planned yet, but probably will be shortly, meeting soon for that I think (next week?) if you even have an outline calendar by then, send it on so plans can meld together... woo!

Hopefully you can make the Winter Meeting. Besides the mentioned side things above, we will be putting together the spring schedule. Input is welcome from everyone and any and all ideas can be worked in. Our local meets are intended as training opportunities so your ideas of fitting training focus in would be very useful. Seems like you have more background in training than most of us , and we sometimes flounder around trying to improve, awkwardly usually.

And Rob can sit by the fire and mellow out with an appropriate liquid refreshment.

I am really torn about this one - he's come a lot way and he's generally averse to all things o related. But if Mike and Boris are there he might manage. I'll ask when he arrives, I would like to be there and join in with the meeting. Bad timing!

Our meetings tend, by design, to be as brief and to the point as possible. No fluff. Get it over and on to the important stuff - food, drink etc. Tell him we are generally nice people;-)

He already knows that! He just hasn't really forgiven me for the US Champs yet. I'll see.

At this point, I think I'm around any weekend in February, but the 19/20, 26/27. Then around all weekends in March, except for Sunday the 20th, which is the half marathon.

Cool, we match up on can't do in February, I timed my conference well to match with Sandra's wedding! I'll see what I can come up with.

I was thinking of having an all-orienteers welcome ski weekend first weekend in March, totally tentative, but if folks are interested, would love to do something like last year, because that was fun! That being said, o-training is more important for skiing for most, so don't let me steal that weekend if best for getting into the woods on foot!

Nope, make that second March weekend, 12-13th...
