Discussion: WA State Champs - Day1

Control #9 (course 5) was incorrectly hung. The feature was a spur (open & treeless). However, the marker could not be seen from any part of the spur. It was hung a few metres in front of the spur hidden by a thicket! The thicket would have been a better control placement. Several competitors lost time here!

So what happened to me on leg #8? I forgot to go to #8 and almost made it to #9 when I realized. My error cost me 16 min. and an extra 1500 metres.
