We (sanctioning) just received an update from GAOC that the park finally gave them permission to use the area in the last few days, so I would expect updates as soon as GAOC can now swing into action.

Actually, all we are waiting for is for the webmaster to get the Meet Director's notes onto the website, along with the links for registration. Registration will be online this year - with many thanks to Kent Shaw - with checks and waivers mailed in. Should just be another day or two.

Online registration is open for the 2011 Georgia Navigator Cup, Southeastern Interscholastic Championships and Extreme-O Competition. For full details, go to the Georgia Orienteering Club website (http://gaorienteering.org) and/or click on the link for the Georgia Navigator Cup 2011 (http://gaorienteering.org/Special_Events/GNC2011/G...). The Georgia Navigator Cup and SEIS Championship competitions will take place on Saturday and Sunday, January 15th and 16th, 2011. The Extreme-O Competition with a maximum of 75 participants will be held on Monday, January 17th, 2011. Please register online for these events, paying special attention to the Extreme-O instructions.
A model event will be available on Friday, January 14th and registration for this will be on-site. Non-competitive Map Hikes will also be available on Saturday and Sunday, January 15th and 16th, and registration will be on-site for those as well. Golf and disc golf will be available through the State Park office, but exploring the woods would violate the embargo.
Although registration is online, we are NOT accepting online payment. Checks and waivers must be postmarked no later than Dec 31, 2010 to avoid late payment fees. All entries registered after Dec 31, 2010 will be deemed late and may not be accepted.
