Dear orienteering friends,
Do you know if there are any orienteering events around Vancouver during the weekend Sept 30-Oct 1?

Are there any o-geeks going training in Vanc on weekdays/nights during the week after?

There are no events in Vancouver that weekend but some of the Vancouver o crowd were planning a little road trip up to Kamloops (4hour drive) for an event up there and some training. Anyone is welcome to join us.
We also have events on Wednesday nights and a couple of runs throughout the week.

PLease note that the event planned in Kamloops that weekend has been moved to the Saturday in order to avoid a conflict with the XC run in Salmon Arm on Sunday - also a good training opportunity. Registration starts at 11:30 and first starts are usually around noon, both of which will still allow you to drive on Saturday morning. Awesome courses planned ;-)

Thanks a lot for your quick response(s)!
My name is Peter and I'm a Scandinavian going to a symposium in Vancouver with my university. It now turns out that we'll be in V. Oct 2-6.
So I think the Wednesday WET event would to be a great opportunity to get a small taste of orienteering in Canada. I'll try to make it there!

(I've just spread an ankle quite badly but hope it will be fine within a couple of weeks...)

We also have o-maps of areas such as the University of British Columbia, and many parks. So if you are interested in some maps or training as well, get in contact with us!
