Am I missing final details for tomorrow? I'm guessing there's no walk to starts or anything? I know you can't park exactly at the Meet Centre...is there any more info?

Starts are right at the assembly area. Just have to get there from parking. Info is pretty sketchy.

Supposedly the website has all the information you need.

There is a negligible walk to the start tomorrow. Parking is 800m away. Expect to be there all day. We don't currently have any lunch coming in, you'll want to bring in your own food, but there will be the usual refreshments for post race.

Sorry, I don't know anything else...

That's about all we need! Thank you!

Looks like the 800m from parking (+250m to the farther lot if you arrive later) may be mostly uphill. Meet notes say that from the drop-off lot near start, "you must move your car ... 800m down the hill in the center of Winchester..." everything else looks pretty compact.

For anyone not there who might be interested, the maps for today's CSU part of the weekend are at my log.

So no walks to the start or anything tomorrow?

Who knows? It's like an adventure race!

Well, if it's the difference between getting up at 5.30 or 6.30 I would like to know!

I asked about the distance to the start tomorrow, since I am in charge of the start, and was told it was right next to the parking.

I can't verify that, but it was said with enough confidence that I assume the walk is pretty minimal.

Great, thanks PG! See you all tomorrow!

The use of green on the Pine Hill map Saturday was a plus. Per the course notes, "Our mapper does not leave an area white unless it is truly runnable."

My old legs don't run through "New England white" woods anymore, so being able to find the runnable woods using the map is a great help.

As another old guy, I would have preferred the map to be white. I certainly can't see light gray smudges against green ink.
