i would hold back on the running. let yourself recover. occasional bouts of stabbing pain isn't the best thing to be running on...
Went to the chiropractor today, got "adjusted". No more stabbing pain for the time being. Told her about the US Champs. She said she'll adjust me one more time on Friday, and I should be able to run. But then - actual rest for a week while she really fixes me. So that's the plan for now.
For the fear of being punched - next time do it a week earlier!
But seriously - glad you're on the route to being fixed!
one thing i did religiously after every chiropractor session was 3 x 20 minutes ice (with frozen peas) in the evening after the manipulation. helped a lot.
