although I was quite happy winning without some Bristol orienteer encroaching onto my turf....well, I suppose not quite in my area, but you are definitely still classed as an ex-Northener rather than a Southener... ;-)

Thanks Sarah - sorry to tread on your toes, I wouldn't want to be a Southener anyway! It was a relief to be the only person on the course not beaten by a woman.

Good point - I did actually think of putting 2 women, but thought the AP police might get me as Tess herself was also not beaten by 2 women. Actually I've just opened that one up to someone funny to claim that she was.
