That area looks like Seton. It was used for a midweek goat event at last year's COCs, and is either the area of or the neighboring area to the 2001 COCs. And it's been remapped several times. From the COC 2009 event booklet:

The Seton Park North map was produced by Colin Kirk (1982), Jack Forsyth (1997) and Sheldon Friesen (2001 and 2009).

Now, if you had been picking on the Saskatchewan-hosted Canadian champs map from 2008, which shows no sign of ever being used again, then ...

Well I'm glad to hear that. The sand hill terrain in Manitoba is wonderful -- the only downside was occasionally lush poison ivy, though if you ran fast enough I don't think it bothered you. I've always been meaning to get back there, but so far it hasn't happened.

Here's something I wrote a while ago about that terrain, specifically at the 1982 Canadian Champs that were a week before the North Americans.

Now the Canadians have fixed their routegadget issues, the Seton map from 2009 is available here. It's still not a very good map, I fear: the COC long map from 2009 is much higher quality, as you can see at a glance without knowing the area. But it is interesting to see what you had to work with in 1982.
