Do we want to coordinate whole team or boys and girls or not at all?
We have some time if we want to find something to bring or just hope we find something when we get there.

I guess I dont quite understand what we're supposed to do for the banquet... I remember you talking about it in the presentations you gave about JWOC but I guess I dont quite fully understand what the banquet is all about.

I'm down for anything; but I do prefer to have plans.

Ah so the Banquet is basically a big party where everyone dresses up and has fun on the last night. Normally teams try and wear the same thing, mainly so people can tell what team your from and also a bit of team/country spirit.

Yea the guys team last year had blue jeans a white tshirt and alpine german hats. We looked pretty fly actually. I think we can do fine if we just get creative in Denmark and find something there.

It doesn't hurt to plan a little bit ahead if possible. Something to tie in with your poster theme might be cool. Have fun and be cool!

I am all for creative banquet planning. However, I am going to propose a policy that for every minutes spent thinking about or discussion or planning the banquet, you spend 15 minutes training.

Ready, ready... go.

Ok I've been training alot. Alot of catching features. I think I'm gonna go ahead and order the shutter shades. I'm gonna try to find a grill that isn't $5000. Whoever wants can join me. I just want to wear those shades around anyway.

We can buy grills discount at about $25 if we get it in bulk. Anyone interested?

There are shades like that from Oriental express if more than one person wants them. Not sure if they are of a less quality though :/ shades
I'm up for wearing them!

Im up for wearing the shades. Alison yours are the same, and they are cheaper, so lets order the dozen.

good find on the shades. My only question is it says 6" is the size. Not too worried about it, but how big are real sun glasses? Or are these kiddie sized? The second thing... is the 4th of July. There is no way we are going to have a quiet celebration. My plan is to bring a decent sized flag.

Oh Keith there needs to be many many flags of many many sizes!!!! I'm going to try and pick up some small ones for us to wave at the opening. There are 3 for a dollar at target haha. But yeah we will need some bigger ones.

Who wants to order the shades?

Gswede:
If everybody who wants them writes me a check for 5.99 and mails it to me I'll make the order. You'd make it out to Gregory E Ahlswede

Re: 4th of July. You can thank John W. for bringing this to my attention, but the largest 4th of July celebration outside of the US takes place right where we'll be. Who'd a thunk it? The center of the celebration as down near the Relay terrain, though apparently there are activities in Aalborg, too. It'll be a busy day with the opening ceremonies and the sprint model and for the JWOC Tour starting, but we'll squeeze it in.

That doesn't mean skimp on the flags!

Alison, I have American flags here and I will try to get them to you at one of DVOA's local meets. I bought them to take to Sweden with us and then couldn't fit them into my luggage. Since there are 4 of you going over maybe you can spread them out among you to get them over there.

I a found a couple of other things yesterday at the dollar store while getting things for our Memorial day picnic. They are very light and flat. very easy to pack and can be thrown away when done with them.
