I also have this problem when running at the track. Everyone who is a real runner understands how a track should be used. People who have never raced do not seem to understand the concepts of a track. I sometimes yell "track" and that sometimes works. Just make sure you yell it from far enough away because they are usually surprised and don't know which direction to move. Then you just end up running into them. Other times I chat with them between intervals and explain why I would like an empty lane. They appreciate that usually.
That's why football (US types) wear those funky pads and helmets. Just run!
Ha ha! I think there's a couple in there that I would have bounced straight off! It was really funny - people making the effort to walk to the track to push a pushchair round it. Why not just stroll around the neighbourhood?
because there are no pavements?
they couldn't fit the pushchair on the treadmill?
There are plenty of pavements in the neighbourhood, it's not an LA kind of place! I guess there's no vehicular traffic on the track...bizarre!
Oh Boris, surely you knew that one!
Pavement = road Get with the program!
program is what you get when you go to a theater.
Uh oh...what have I started?
To change the subject a bit, are you going running this afternoon/evening? Want company?
Track at Penn was 400yds, so run in lane 5, walk around lane 1.
Tip for the top: Never, ever, tell an old lady that your bridge partner just went outside to have a fag. I had no idea...
Hopefully it's not 400 yards, then my 200 times are really slow! The proper runners were using the inside too, so I hope it's metres...
Pretty sure it is meters.
