The 1000 Day kicked off today with the opening sprint this afternoon, with perfect running conditions. After the race, the crowd got together and unanimously voted the race to be "one of the best one hundred or so sprints held in the US this year." There were no badger attacks, and how much luckier than that can you get?!

Things pick up tomorrow with the Stampede.
And the Commissioner, well positioned as ever, with a WOC star virtually on each arm....
An image of the map would be nice for the best sprint of the year so far
You probably expect Peter has taken his scanner with him?
You do not need a scanner - all you need is a digital camera
There is a Kinko's on Grand Ave. Before you get to UW, but after the giant Wal-Mart.
I'll go investigate tomorrow after the prologue (a 40-pointer) and chase.
If anyone is interested, I can upload this event into RMOC's RouteGadget once you scan the map image. I'd also need to get the full list of results (from Kris?).
I sent a JPG of the course to Greg and Peter.
And it's
here, blown up quite a bit (was 1:15,000).
Sure would have been a lot easier course for me if it looked like Peter's blow-up. It was pretty tiny-looking for a presbyopic old geezer.
RouteGadget is set-up for the Sprint.

Thanks, Kris, for forwarding the complete results.
