Discussion: New Location Announced

Registration is now open for the Salomon Dontgetlost.ca Giant's Rib Raid. This race was scheduled to take place in the St. Catharines area in the beautiful Niagara Peninsula. However, during course planning Mark Adams and I made some very interesting discoveries that got us thinking that this race had to wait a few more years before taking place in the Niagara region. What did we find? What is our cool idea? Well, lets just say the Niagara region has a very rich history including the site of many of the War of 1812 great battles. And because 2012 is the bicentennial of many of these battles Golden Horseshoe Orienteering promises a very interesting Giant's Rib Raid in a few years. It will be US vs. Canada all over again. Re-live some of the historic battles such as Lundy's Lane, Beaverdams, Chippawa, and Queenston Heights in a tough team adventure run race along Canada's Niagara Peninsula.
