Hello again!
Early registration ends on February 5th for the Sycamore Scramble and 2010 US Intercollegiate Orienteering Championships in Raleigh, NC.
Why you should register right now:
- 3 events in 2 days
- All major orienteering disciplines (sprint, middle, classic)
- A chance to escape the snow and cold and orienteer in sunny North Carolina (it is around 60 F as I write this, and the sky is Carolina blue)*
- Dinner on Saturday with lots of orienteers
- College students: a chance to earn a place on the US team to the 2010 World University Orienteering Championships in Sweden.
See you in Raleigh!
*weather is not a guarantee ;)
Maybe the snow you'll be getting Saturday will be melted by then.
Well said! But to be fair, that's quite an anomaly :).
An anomaly that will bring the Triangle to its knees. At least with it happening on a weekend, most people should be able to hunker down at home and ride it out. Wouldn't want to be at a supermarket today though!
Which classes are assigned to each of the Sprint courses (Short A, Short B, and Long)?
Hmm, I'm not sure. I'll look into it for you if you'd like.
Ruth says red and blue are on the "Long" sprint. Orange and brown will probably be on "Short A" and green will probably be on "Short B."
Is there a "snow situation" at Umstead?
