If you made mistakes on 3 controls, you must have done very well otherwise to finish 6 minutes behind Patrick! Thanks for your help today. It looks like Goose has extracted results from the finish control - yay.

Goose must be good at this to get the data out of the finish control. I could not before with a serial download and had to use a USB one but the data did not make much sense.
I did not do that well but kept plodding through the snow. That plus I only went down the ravine once.
Thanks for setting up the event. The food at the event and hot chocolate at the SHED after was great.

Does Goose need the serial download unit to get the data out of the other controls? I'm totally foggy on how that part works, but I agree that I'm impressed that he was able to pull that off. This was the first event where he has been the SI Manager, so this was a lot to deal with.

Yes, you can download any control with the serial master. The SI cards are recorded and the times in crazy character strings that can be difficult to turn into data. I still have the download from the Caledon Thomass in 2008 and have a program from the US that is capable of generating results from it. I tried quickly once but it did not work for me.

Always something new to learn about SI. As you'll see in the post-race e-mail, the guys were able to do some impressive stuff with all that data. Such a relief!
