Discussion: Any ladies up for a ski clinic in January (N.E.)?

I've been once before to the NENSA (New England Nordic Ski Association) clinic, and it was a fantastic day at a bargain price. Got to shake Joan Benoit Samuelson's hand as well as get coached by all sorts of Nordic ski stars on my (severely mediocre) form. It would be great to get a gang of orienteers/runners to go!

I'll second that its an awesome day, perfect for skiers of all abilities. If you're extra lucky, you'll end up in the group I'm coaching.

I think I might be interested....have no skate equipment though and could def use some instruction so I think its perfect :-)

I am another one with no skate equipment, and ancient classic equipment ... I'm going to try to rent 1/2 day skate stuff, 1/2 day classic stuff. I'm going to register today and for my group I'll put USOF. Not that we'll ever manage to be the largest group there ...

Glad you're getting a group going to this event. I went 2 yrs ago when it was in VT and loved it! Learned that after 30 years of nordic skiing, I'd never known how to use my poles efficiently, nor how to really glide. Made great improvements in just one day. Wonderful supportive and festive atmosphere with great instructors. Liked meeting Joan Samuelson, too.

Am going to similar ladies event at VonTrapps this Saturday--closer to home. Have a great time.

Wendy J. is coming too. I'm working on Paige Williams ... we are getting toward a good sized O crowd! I've decided to rent skate skis, so I'll probably spend most of the day on my backside. All that is left to do is keep the fingers crossed for lots of snow in the next 3 weeks.

Does anyone know of a ski clinic out west, way way west as in Washington?
